$1 million Mega Millions ticket sold at Maryland Wawa

Bel Air, MD When a Mega Millions ticket purchased at a Wawa in Bel Air matched all five white balls in the drawing on December 10, the fortunate player won a $1 million second-tier reward, making Maryland a new millionaire.

The winning ticket was bought at 709 Belair Road, Wawa #553. The Harford County store will get a $2,500 lottery bonus for selling the ticket. With a Mega Ball of 21, the winning numbers for the drawing were 12, 14, 26, 48, and 52.

Since the jackpot roll started in September, this is Maryland’s second $1 million Mega Millions winner. In October, the other winner, who lived in Anne Arundel County, claimed a comparable prize on a ticket that was bought in Brooklyn Park.

The reward must be redeemed by appointment at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, and the winner has 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim it.

The Mega Millions jackpot has rolled to an estimated annuity of $670 million for the Dec. 13 drawing, with an estimated cash option of $317.8 million, since there was no jackpot winner in Tuesday’s drawing.
