12-Year-Old Among Four Arrested After Attempted Armed Carjacking in D.C.


WASHINGTON, D.C. – Four teenage suspects have been apprehended in connection with a bold attempted armed carjacking in Northwest, D.C.

On October 17 at approximately 6:15 p.m., the suspects approached the victim, who was standing next to their motorcycle, in the 4200 block of Kansas Avenue. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s motorcycle. A witness intervened, prompting the suspects to flee the scene without stealing any property.

Shortly afterward, officers located and arrested all four suspects, recovering a handgun in the process. A 15-year-old male juvenile from Southeast, D.C., was charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun) and Carrying a Pistol Without a License. Additionally, a 15-year-old female juvenile from Southeast, along with a 12-year-old male and a 13-year-old male, both from Northwest, D.C., were charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).
