MUNHALL, PA. A 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody by Allegheny County police in relation to an armed robbery in Munhall that left a 30-year-old lady shot.
The incident happened in the 2900 block of Main Street on March 25, 2024, at around 10:53 p.m. Police said the woman was outside a house when a man with a gun and a ski mask came up to her and demanded money. The perpetrator then fled the area after shooting the woman once in the leg during the ensuing confrontation.
In stable condition, the sufferer was taken to a nearby hospital.
The General Investigations Unit of the Allegheny County Police Department was called upon by Munhall Police to assist. To identify the suspect, detectives analyzed surveillance footage, witness accounts, and on-scene evidence.
The 14-year-old suspect was charged with aggravated assault and robbery as a juvenile after speaking with the district attorney’s office.
