15-year-old Kentucky High School Student Dead; Was Struck by School Bus in Winchester

Tragedy Strikes as a Kentucky student was fatally struck by a school bus in Clark County.

According to the coroner, the student has been identified as McKenna Letcher, a 15-year-old from Winchester.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Ironworks Road early Tuesday morning after a tragic incident involving a Clark County school bus and a pedestrian, resulting in a fatality, as reported by the county coroner.

According to Clark County Public Schools, Letcher was a student at George Rogers Clark High School.

A tragic incident occurred when a 15-year-old freshman was struck by a bus while attempting to cross Veterans Memorial Parkway, according to the coroner’s report.

A crowded bus of students was involved in an incident during their morning commute to school. According to reports, the oldest children on the bus were around 10 years old.
