Boston, Massachusetts.Boston police said Tuesday that a 16-year-old man has been taken into custody in relation to a June gunshot death on Fifield Street in Dorchester.
During an ongoing investigation on Homer Street, the juvenile suspect was captured by Fugitive Unit officers. After a traffic stop on Neptune Road, the suspect—who was wanted on a warrant for murder and several other firearm-related offenses—was apprehended.
According to the police, when the suspect was arrested, he had a gun with 13 rounds in it. The youngster is now facing additional charges in addition to those listed on the warrant, such as possessing a high-capacity handgun, carrying a loaded firearm, and carrying a firearm without a license. It is anticipated that Boston Juvenile Court will arraign him.
Police responded to a complaint of a car smash into a structure at 24 Fifield Street on June 28. This incident led to the arrest. While one of the passengers was hurt and sent to a hospital, officers found the vehicle’s driver, Edwin Diaz-Geraldo, 20, of Brighton, dead at the site.
