A teenage girl was found shot to death in a north Harris County, Texas, parking lot Sunday morning.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies said they discovered the body of 17-year-old Laurynn Galloway in the parking lot of the Costa Ibiza apartment complex while responding to a report of gunshots in the area. She was found with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
Witnesses told investigators that Galloway had gotten into an altercation with a man in the parking lot before he shot and killed her.
“I heard like, four to five shots, but I didn’t think nothing of it because it happened all the time on a normal basis,” Justin Lindsey, a resident at the complex, told Fox 26 Houston .
Some residents even know information about the shooting but don’t want to speak up.
“Long as you mind your business and stay out of the way, you won’t have to worry about that. I go to work, and come home. go to work and come home. You know, kids in the house, school, in the house,” Lindsey added.

Residents say shootings happen so often in the area, it doesn’t register as a big deal. “Bad things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people,” said Lindsey.
