Drew Gordon, 22, is currently facing federal charges for allegedly shooting the DEA agent with 18 rounds while the officer was conducting an unrelated investigation.

The Shooting Incident

It started when a DEA agent was shot at many times in Pittsburgh. Authorities said that Gordon pointed at the agent’s car and hit it many times. The vehicle was damaged, but the agent escaped the hail of gunshots unscathed.

Law enforcement carried out a federal search warrant at Gordon’s home later that night. Significant quantities of illegal substances, including approximately 85 grams of crack cocaine, four ounces of powdered cocaine, and 100 bricks of fentanyl, were found during the search.

Additionally, at the property, agents found about $10,000 in cash. Authorities discovered firearms in addition to the drugs, including an empty 9mm magazine, a.40 caliber Glock pistol with an extended magazine, and a 9mm Glock pistol with a 50-round drum magazine.

Legal Consequences and Penalties

Gordon is facing serious charges. He is charged with assault on a federal officer, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and fentanyl, and possession of guns in connection with narcotics trafficking in addition to attempted murder. Gordon could receive a minimum penalty of 20 years in jail and a maximum sentence of life in prison if found guilty. Additionally, he can face fines of up to $8 million.
