31-Year-Old Suspect Wanted in Connection with Northwest DC Homicide


WASHINGTON, D.C. — A manhunt is underway for a suspect linked to a fatal February shooting in Northwest DC, with detectives appealing to the public for help in locating the individual. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Orlando Anderson, is wanted in the killing of 32-year-old Jeremy Dewayne Johnson, who was fatally shot on Shepherd Street NW in the early hours of February 12.

Officers responding to gunfire at approximately 2:41 a.m. found Johnson, a resident of Southeast DC, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anderson, who has no fixed address, is now wanted on a DC Superior Court warrant for Second Degree Murder while Armed.
