50-Year-Old Man Charged After Shooting 2-Year-Old in Suspected Road Rage Incident in Dallas

A 50-year-old man was taken into custody by Dallas police after a 2-year-old girl was shot over the weekend.

Details from court documents suggest that an incident in a Far East Dallas neighborhood may have been fueled by road rage. The incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. on Sunday in the vicinity of Sweetwater Drive, close to Interstate 30 and Ferguson Road.

Jason Cain is currently incarcerated in the Dallas County jail, facing several charges, such as assault with a deadly weapon and injury to a child.

According to the police, a family driving for Door Dash accidentally turned onto the same street where Cain was riding his motorcycle. They quickly maneuvered to avoid colliding with him and sounded their horn. According to authorities, he subsequently reversed his actions, brandished a firearm, and discharged it into their vehicle.

A 2-year-old girl is currently in the hospital, undergoing recovery, following a tragic incident.

Based on arrest documents, several witnesses reported to the police that they observed a motorcycle with a sidecar, which happened to have a dog inside, trailing a gray sedan at approximately 8 p.m. Witnesses reported observing the motorcyclist brandishing a firearm and discharging two rounds.

According to the police, witnesses have positively identified the shooter as Jason Cain, a 50-year-old resident of the neighborhood.

Cain spoke to officers at the scene before witnesses were able to identify him. According to him, the individuals involved in the shooting were located nearby.

According to the police documents, Cain initially resisted when officers arrested him at his home but eventually complied. Authorities have confirmed the acquisition of video evidence related to the incident.

During a search of Cain’s residence, law enforcement discovered a variety of firearms, including automatic weapons, as well as numerous symbols associated with Satanism and the Nazi regime.
