Cresaptown, Maryland. After buying a $50,000 winning ticket for the November 20 drawing at Lashbaugh’s Bar & Grill in Cresaptown, a Powerball player in Allegany County received an unexpected windfall, Maryland Lottery officials revealed Thursday.
In addition to the Powerball number 25 and a Power Play multiplier of 3, the winning numbers that were drawn were 16, 30, 60, 62, and 64. The Cresaptown ticket is one of the 55 third-tier prize winners in the state this year, even though no one claimed the jackpot.
The ticket was bought at Lashbaugh’s, which is situated in the little village outside of Cumberland at 13144 Warrior Drive. In Maryland, the drawing also produced almost 8,300 additional winners, each receiving a prize between $4 and $100.
As of right now, the estimated Powerball jackpot for the Saturday, November 23 drawing is $171 million in an annuity, or $78.7 million in cash. Officials at the lottery advise winners to sign their winning tickets right away and store them in a secure location. After the drawing date, prizes must be claimed within 182 days.
As the Powerball jackpot keeps rising, a small-town tavern becomes the location of significant winnings.
