New York’s Bay Shore.The New York Lottery said Sunday that a $50,000 third-prize Powerball ticket had been sold in Bay Shore.
The ticket, which was offered for sale at Om Sai Ram Ji, located at 184 Howells Road, matched the Powerball and four of the five numbers in the drawing on December 2.
The red Power Ball is chosen individually from a pool of one to 26. Powerball numbers are drawn from a pool of one to 69. The jackpots for the three weekly drawings, which start at 10:59 p.m., can amount to hundreds of millions of dollars.
The New York Lottery is still the biggest and most successful lottery in North America, having donated $3.8 billion to public school funding in the fiscal year 2023–2024.
The winning ticket holder’s identity has not yet been made public.
