Why do Americans take pride in their nation?
The New York Times polled people on their concerns and their favorite things about the United States in honor of Independence Day. Even though there were wide and frequently acrimonious political differences, these people still shared some fundamental American values.
They discussed the right to free speech, voting for a candidate they supported, and participating in a joyous demonstration. The virtues of America were enhanced by international travel.
They also celebrated American culture by hosting a beach party. acquiring one’s first house. and being given another chance.
It s honestly sort of beautiful that we have the freedom to make our own stupid choices.
