7-year-old boy killed in Anne Arundel County hit-and-run




ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MDA—A 7-year-old kid lost his life in a hit-and-run incident on Interstate 97 on Sunday night after he fell from a car window and was hit by a car, according to Maryland State Police.

Just north of MD Route 32, in the northbound lanes of I-97, the event happened at approximately 7:30 p.m. Investigators claim that the youngster was in the back passenger seat of his grandmother’s 2011 Mazda 3 when he opened the window and tumbled out of the car, hitting the road.

Shortly after, the youngster was hit by an approaching 2016–2019 Honda Civic and ran away. According to police, the suspect vehicle’s front left wheel well is probably damaged, and they are aggressively looking for leads to find the driver.
