73-year-old man missing from Northeast D.C., last seen Friday morning


WASHINGTON, D.C. — Family and friends are concerned for the safety of 73-year-old Elger Menefee, who was last seen early Friday morning in Northeast Washington and has not been heard from since.

Menefee was last spotted around 7 a.m. on October 25 in the 4400 block of Douglas Street, NE, according to the Washington D.C. Metro Police Department. He is described as a Black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. It is unclear what clothing he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.

Police are asking the public for assistance in locating Menefee and have released contact information for anyone with information.
