NJ’s Trenton Officials said Monday that a resident of Passaic County has won the top prize in the New Jersey Lottery’s Win for Life! scratch-off game, guaranteeing $5,000 per month for the rest of their lives.
The winner chose the $875,200 cash prize over the $1.5 million annuity after buying the ticket on December 31 at Valley Spa on East Main Street in Little Falls.
According to lottery authorities, there are still two top prizes up for grabs in the Win for Life! game, which debuted in October.
Another recent victory came on January 2, when a player from Burlington County won the top prize in the $250,000 Crossword game. The Lumberton Walmart on Route 38 sold that ticket.
Since its founding in 1970, the New Jersey Lottery has given the state close to $33.7 billion to support services and programs, such as pensions for public employees.
