Shots fired in Dover leave house damaged; state police investigating

DOVER, Del.Detectives from the Delaware State Police are looking into a shooting that occurred in Dover early in the morning and damaged a house but did not injure anyone.

Troops arrived on John Clark Road at around 12:15 a.m. on Monday after receiving a report of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered that two unnamed Black guys and two other unidentified individuals had gotten into a fight on the street. The number of rounds fired during the confrontation is unknown.

According to police, bullets hit a home in the 1500 block of John Clark Road. There were no recorded casualties, since the house was vacant at the time. Before the troopers arrived, the suspects fled the scene on foot. During their investigation, detectives found multiple bullet casings in the vicinity.
