Toms River Township Delivers Thanksgiving Meals to Homebound Seniors




NJ’s Toms River In an effort to spread holiday cheer before the holiday, the Toms River Senior Center and the office of Mayor Dan Rodrick collaborated on Tuesday to bring Thanksgiving dinners to the community’s homebound elders.

In order to provide warm meals in time for Thanksgiving to seniors who were unable to leave their homes across Toms River, volunteers and staff joined the effort. The program was a component of the township’s continuous effort to assist its elderly citizens.

Mayor Rodrick expressed gratitude to all of the staff members and volunteers that helped bring joy to our local seniors in time for the holiday.

The local government and senior center run a number of initiatives, including the meal deliveries, to engage and assist senior citizens all year round.
