New York City.Under the leadership of District Attorney Tom Walsh, the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office held a Thanksgiving food drive to assist local families in need, carrying on the yearly tradition of assisting People to People, the county’s largest hunger relief agency.
Every year, more than 2,000 families receive turkeys and all the ingredients for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner from Nanuet-based People to People, which feeds more than 6,000 people in Rockland. As part of this endeavor, the District Attorney’s Office gathered and gave food supplies, demonstrating their dedication to helping the community outside of the courtroom.
DA Walsh wished everyone in Rockland a safe and joyous Thanksgiving and thanked the People to People staff and volunteers for their commitment to ending hunger.
DA Walsh, Chief Assistant District Attorney Patrick Frawley, IT Director Garnett Bosse, Senior Assistant District Attorney Joseph Santangelo, and legal assistant Tina Thermadam were all photographed during the trip.
This program exemplifies the generosity of Rockland County, where neighbors get together to help one another out around the holidays.
