According to police, a woman from WILKES-BARRE, PAA was arrested early Thursday for allegedly hitting another woman during a domestic conflict and thwarting their arrest.
At 12:06 a.m., police were called to a Madison Street home over a suspected domestic dispute. When police arrived, the 32-year-old victim reported that she and Diaralini Garcia, 35, had gotten into a verbal altercation that turned violent.
According to the victim, Garcia assaulted her after throwing a television down a stairway. Officers observed the victim had obvious wounds that matched the description given.
Garcia fought the cops’ attempts to arrest her until they were able to overpower her and take her into prison. After that, Garcia was taken to City Headquarters for arraignment and processing.
Authorities have not published any other information regarding the incident, nor have they revealed the victim’s health.
