Neptune man arrested, charged in Deal residential burglaries

DEAL, NJ. After a police reaction last week, authorities said a 20-year-old Neptune man was taken into custody and charged in relation to several residential burglaries, including two on Lady Bess Drive.

At around 3:34 p.m. on November 26, police were called to a residence on Lady Bess Drive in response to an allegation of an attempted break-in. When police arrived, they saw a suspect inside the house and found an open rear window. The suspect was found hiding in a bedroom on the second story after officers surrounded the house and went in through the front entrance.

Nasyr D. Fisher was the individual who was taken into jail without any problems. Investigators eventually connected Fisher to evidence from another crime in a different jurisdiction and concluded that he had broken into a second house next door.

After being taken to Deal Police Headquarters, Fisher was accused with receiving stolen property, trespassing twice, obstruction, criminal mischief, and burglary. In order to await a court hearing, he was then committed to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.

The Allenhurst Police Department and the Township of Ocean Police Department were commended by Deal police for their contributions to the inquiry.
