Toms River student to be honored for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade performance

Tom’s River N.J. The Toms River Township Council will honor James Warren, a student at Toms River High School North, for being chosen to play in the esteemed Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Band.

At the upcoming council meeting at Town Hall, Mayor Dan Rodrick said Warren will be honored for his accomplishment with a proclamation. “We are proud to have had James represent us on Thanksgiving morning on the national stage, and this is a very prestigious accomplishment,” Rodrick said.

Warren went through a grueling audition process to secure his spot in the nationally televised parade. Millions of people witness the famous parade every year, and the band unites high school musicians from all around the nation.

The township congratulated Warren in a social media statement, writing, “Toms River is proud of you!”

During the meeting, the council will also honor the Toms River High School North football team for winning the state championship for the third time in a row.
