Several complaints of a fight in a parking lot prompted officers to arrive at the 4100 block of Portsmouth Boulevard at around 9:17 p.m. According to authorities, some accounts suggested that shooting had broken out during the encounter.
Officers found an adult male who had been shot and an adult female who had been hurt in the altercation. With injuries deemed non-life-threatening, both victims were sent to local hospitals.
