Wisconsin Teacher Slapped with More Charges after Her Inappropriate Relations with 11-year-old was Busted by Victim's Father

A Wisconsin teacher is facing additional charges after being accused of engaging in inappropriate behavior with an 11-year-old student in her classroom. If found guilty, she could potentially face a lifetime in prison.

A new complaint filed last week has added nine more felonies to the charges against Madison Bergmann, 24. These include using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, sexual misconduct by school staff, child enticement causing mental or bodily harm, and exposing a child to harmful materials.

A former fifth-grade teacher at River Crest Elementary School has been previously charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child.

If the sentences are given one after another, she could potentially spend up to 185 years behind bars.

As per the criminal complaint, the reported abuse of the 11-year-old boy by Bergmann was brought to attention when the student’s mother overheard her son conversing with the teacher over the phone. The parents became suspicious and decided to check the boy’s phone. They claim to have discovered inappropriate texts exchanged between the two individuals.

The disturbing text chain contained messages from Bergmann discussing various incidents that took place inside the Hudson, Wis., classroom during lunch or after school. She reportedly expressed her satisfaction with the child’s physical contact and intimate moments.

According to the complaint, a number of the reported assaults occurred in Bergmann’s classroom.

The father of the boy angrily entered River Crest Elementary School with printed conversations, according to authorities.

During the search of Bergmann’s classroom, authorities reportedly discovered a folder in her bag that bore the name of the victim. It is reported that the folder contained handwritten notes discussing their frequent displays of affection.
