Man arrested for attempted motorcycle carjacking at Woodbridge traffic light

Woodbridge, Virginia After trying to take a motorcycle from another guy at a Woodbridge traffic light on Wednesday afternoon, a Dumfries man was taken into custody, according to the police.

To look into the incident, officers arrived at 3:58 p.m. on November 29 at the intersection of Dale Boulevard and Gideon Drive. The 24-year-old victim claimed that while he was stopped at a traffic light, an unidentified person approached him and demanded his motorcycle.

Before the victim fled the scene and called the police, the suspect—later identified as Edwood Christopher Spencer, 48—threatened him and threw a glass bottle at him during the altercation. There were no reported injuries.

Officers found Spencer close by and took him into custody without any problems. Spencer, of 3027 Sigel Court in Dumfries, was charged with attempted robbery after the investigation. A court date is still pending, and he is being held without bond.
