Sunday morning shooting in Baltimore ends in swift arrest

MDA BALTIMORE After a shooting in Baltimore’s Northwest District on Sunday morning, a 26-year-old man has been taken into custody and charged with attempted first-degree murder.

According to police, on December 1, Charles Ward III shot a 23-year-old male inside a house in the 3600 block of Bowers Avenue. After hearing allegations of a potential gunshot, officers arrived on the site at around 9:29 a.m.

Officers arrived to discover the victim had been shot in the left thigh. After being taken to a nearby hospital, his status was described as stable.

Ward was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility after being safely apprehended on the spot. During the investigation, a firearm was found.
