Virginia’s Stafford County. After leading Stafford County deputies on a fast-paced, two-county pursuit that culminated in his arrest by Marine Corps police at Quantico, a 40-year-old man is facing numerous counts.
The incident started on November 30 at approximately 10:20 p.m., according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, when a deputy noticed a stolen Ford on Richmond Highway close to the I-95 North ramp. The guy swerved across lanes and passed cars illegally as he drove off after ignoring a traffic stop and making a U-turn.
The Ford was pushed off the road and into a guardrail by deputies as the pursuit continued into Prince William County. After making his getaway on foot, the suspect was seen leaping over a fence to enter the Quantico Marine Corps Base.
The culprit, Richard Wolfe, was captured by Marine Corps police on December 1. Deputies charged him with felony evading, possession of stolen property, driving while revoked, and giving fake identification to law police after learning that he was wanted for two probation violations.
Additional charges from Prince William County are still pending against Wolfe, who is now being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
