Two teens arrested after armed carjacking vehicle tracked, handgun recovered

BALTIMORE Following the tracking of the stolen vehicle with the help of Baltimore County Aviation, investigators detained two 16-year-old males Monday morning in connection with an armed carjacking.

The vehicle was found by the Regional Auto Theft Task Force (RATT) on December 2 at around 11:30 a.m., according to the Baltimore Police Department. Both suspects were caught soon after they tried to escape by bailing out of the vehicle.

A firearm thought to have been used in the crime was found by the officers during the arrest. For processing, the suspects were taken to Juvenile Booking.

Because of the defendants’ age, authorities have not disclosed any other information regarding the carjacking incident.
