Columbus police seek public’s help in fatal shooting investigation

Columbus, OhioOne person died from what appears to be a gunshot wound in a homicide that happened late Tuesday night, and police are requesting help in solving the case.

At at 11:18 p.m. on December 4, officers were called to the intersection of Cole Street and Rhodes Avenue in response to an unidentified complaint. First responders discovered the victim with a gunshot wound when they arrived.


After being taken to a neighboring hospital, medical personnel made every effort to save the patient’s life. At 11:48 p.m., the victim was declared dead in spite of their attempts.

The victim has not yet been recognized by authorities, who are currently looking into the shooting’s circumstances. Anyone with knowledge is encouraged to come forward and get in touch with the Columbus Division of Police, according to detectives.
