Wilkes-Barre man arrested for assault in domestic dispute

Pa. Wilkes-Barre.Police say that after a domestic argument at a home on North Main Street, a 44-year-old male assaulted a 68-year-old lady, leading to his arrest Wednesday morning.

When Wilkes-Barre City Police Department officers arrived on the scene at 9:21 a.m., they discovered the victim, who said that during a verbal altercation, Victor Correa had punched her in the face with a closed fist.

According to authorities, the woman was treated on the spot by emergency medical services. Authorities did not mention that she needed to be hospitalized, and her health has not been made public.

Without any problems, Correa was arrested at the house and taken to police headquarters to be processed.
