Woman Stabbed, Man Injured in Early Morning Attack in the Bronx




New York’s Bronx.According to authorities, an early-morning attack on Friday at an apartment complex on Macombs Road in the Bronx resulted in the deadly stabbing of a 38-year-old woman and the injuries of a 46-year-old male.

When officers arrived at 1479 Macombs Road at around 3:31 a.m. to answer to a 911 call of an assault in progress, they found the woman with several knife wounds to her back and chest. She was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital by emergency medical professionals, where she was declared deceased.

According to the police, a second victim—a male who had been stabbed once in the left leg—had already been transported privately to Saint Barnabas Hospital. His condition is reported as stable.

Although charges have not yet been made because the investigation is still underway, a person of interest was arrested at the scene.

Until her family is notified, authorities have not revealed the deceased’s identify.
