Philadelphia police seek suspect in aggravated assault at Save A Lot




The city of Philadelphia A man who is suspected of stabbing a security guard outside a Save A Lot supermarket in the city’s 39th District on Wednesday afternoon is being sought by authorities.

The Philadelphia Police Department reports that the incident happened at 4424 N. Broad Street at approximately 12:40 p.m. According to investigators, the victim, a store security guard, was assaulted after repeatedly requesting that a guy leave the front of the building.

The guy allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the guard after a string of verbal altercations before running north on Broad Street. According to the police, the suspect is regularly spotted in the vicinity of the retail center where the attack took place.

According to the description, the suspect is a medium-built Black male who is between 45 and 55 years old and about 5 feet 5 inches tall. He was dressed in a gray hoodie, tan boots, green camouflage pants, and a hunter green jacket when the attack occurred.

The PPD Northwest Detective Division is asking anyone with knowledge on the suspect’s name or whereabouts to get in touch.
