Walmart donation fuels Toys for Tots effort in Middletown




New York’s Middleton. Through the Toys for Tots program, a $450 donation from the Middletown Walmart has helped local kids in need enjoy the holidays.

The U.S. Marine Corps Reserves oversees the annual program, and State Police Troop F troopers utilized the monies to buy gifts for the event on December 2. Toys to be given to families throughout the holiday season were chosen by the troopers during the afternoon.

The State Police facility at 55 Crystal Run Road in Middletown has Toys for Tots donation boxes set up, and donations will be accepted until December 13. In order to gather brand-new, unwrapped toys for kids, the organization depends on community support.

According to a social media post from the New York State Police, Toys for Tots has been assisting parents in making their kids’ holidays memorable for more than 77 years, underscoring the program’s enduring purpose.
