Person of interest sought after 18-year-old fatally shot in Northeast D.C.




Washington, D.C. Authorities are looking for assistance in identifying a person of interest seen on surveillance tape after an 18-year-old man was shot and murdered inside a business in Northeast Washington, D.C., on Tuesday morning.

Around 10:49 a.m., a shooting broke out in the 1200 block of Bladensburg Road. Outside the institution, officers discovered Jeremiah Law, a resident of Fort Washington, Maryland, unconscious and wounded from a gunshot wound.

Despite attempts to save his life, Law was declared dead after being taken to a nearby hospital by D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services. It was eventually uncovered by detectives that the gunfire started inside the building before Law was found outdoors.

Investigators released photos of a person of interest and are asking anyone with information to get in touch with them without going to the person directly.

In connection with the case, a reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for tips that result in an arrest and conviction.
