Six-week manhunt ends with arrest of Baltimore shooting suspect in York




Baltimore, Maryland Following a thorough investigation, authorities said Thursday that a 45-year-old man who was suspected of a shooting in Baltimore’s Eastern District in late October has been taken into custody in York, Pennsylvania.

On December 5, Travis Cothran, a resident of Baltimore, was arrested at a York home at around 7 a.m. On October 29, Cothran allegedly shot a 35-year-old man in the leg in the 1800 block of North Collington Avenue, according to the police.

The first police advisory stated that the person was classified in stable condition after being taken to a nearby hospital.

As he awaits extradition to Baltimore City, where he is accused of attempted first-degree murder, Cothran is presently being detained at York County Prison.
