Technology Tracks Down Stolen Vehicle
An Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) on Thursday alerted deputies to a Dodge Durango with Florida license plates, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. The car was last seen traveling south on N. Argonne Road in Spokane and was reported stolen. After locating the SUV and verifying the Florida license plate, deputies pulled up the driver, Mogan A. Jewell, 33.
According to investigators, Jewell acknowledged hiring the car on October 20 in Dallas, Texas. She said the automobile was meant to be returned the following day, but she drove it to Spokane and was too busy to do so, according to the sheriff’s office.
Suspect Ignored Warnings From Rental Company
