Three injured in Mount Oliver shooting, investigation underway




MOUNT OLIVER, PA: Three persons were hurt in a gunshot on Saturday night in the 200 block of Brownsville Road, which is being looked into by Allegheny County Police.

After first responders found several expended shot casings outside a nearby business, police were alerted to the incident at 9:21 p.m. Initially, two victims, a 23-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, were sent to nearby hospitals in stable condition.

According to authorities, the guy was shot in the buttocks, and the woman was shot in the foot. A third victim, who had sustained a graze cut to the arm, was found and sent to a hospital in stable condition almost two hours later.

Although information on possible suspects or motivations has not yet been made public, detectives from the General Investigations Unit of the Allegheny County Police Department are spearheading the investigation.

Police have not said whether the shooting was random or if the victims were targeted; the situation is still being investigated.
