LANSING, MIA As police dealt with a sad scenario, a solemn incident that occurred early Tuesday morning at the Michigan State Police Post in Lansing, Michigan, caused the station to briefly close. Hours after calling for assistance, a guy was discovered dead in the parking lot.

A 63-year-old Lansing man called the Michigan State Police Operations center at 6:30 a.m. on November 26, 2024, stating that he was in the Lansing Post parking lot (7119 North Canal Road) and planned to hurt himself.

Troopers were then sent to the scene to see how the man was doing.
