Union County officials address public concerns over recent drone activity

In a joint statement issued Friday, local and county authorities assured residents that there is presently no known threat to public safety and said that Union County law enforcement and public safety personnel are carefully monitoring allegations of recent drone activity in the area.

Law enforcement agencies are collaborating with federal and state partners, such as the FBI and New Jersey State Police, to look into the sightings, according to Union County Prosecutor William A. Daniel and other high-ranking authorities.
