PASADENA, Maryland Following an examination into how they handled a fatal incident that happened in Pasadena on December 7, 2023, two Anne Arundel County police officers were indicted on counts of misconduct in office, the department reported Friday.
Following an investigation by the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, criminal summonses were issued to Corporal K. Schnell and Corporal E. Vasquez. The details of the purported wrongdoing have not been revealed.
Amal E. Awad, the chief of police for Anne Arundel County, responded to the indictments in a statement, claiming that after examining the department’s available material, they have not found any behavior by the officers that would be considered a criminal offense.
