Trenton, New Jersey. Officials said Thursday that two New Jersey Lottery players had each won $50,000 in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing after matching the Powerball and four of the five white balls.
The winning tickets were offered for sale at Welsh Farms #4 on West Main Street in Farmingdale, Monmouth County, and Quick Mart on Knopf Street in Linden, Union County.
With a Powerball of 13 and a Power Play multiplier of 2X, the numbers that were drawn were 01, 23, 25, 28, and 61. Since no ticket in the entire country matched all six numbers, Saturday’s drawing will see the prize increase to an estimated $260 million.
No player was able to match the winning numbers of 14, 35, 43, 48, and 54 as well as the Double Play ball of 1 in the Double Play feature, which gives players another chance to win with the same numbers. The maximum payout for Double Play is $10 million.
During the 365-day claim period, lottery officials advised ticket holders to verify their numbers and use any winnings.
