Wilkes-Barre man arrested after alleged assault and threats in domestic dispute




WILKES-BARRE, PA According to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, a 59-year-old male was taken into custody Thursday night after reportedly threatening a lady with a knife during a domestic altercation on Holland Street.

At at 7:23 p.m., officers were called to the residence after hearing complaints of a verbal altercation. When police arrived, the 66-year-old female victim told them that she had a fight with the suspect, John Bush of Wilkes-Barre, earlier in the day because he had allegedly consumed alcohol.

Bush allegedly pulled out a knife during the altercation, put his hand around the victim’s neck, and threatened to hurt her physically, according to the police.

Bush was arrested on the spot and transferred to police headquarters for arraignment and processing. He is accused of committing acts of terrorism and assault.
