Reports of sightings have come from the Atlantic Coast, the Bayshore Region, and the county’s interior. Officials are actively exchanging information with partner organizations, such as the FBI and New Jersey State Police, despite assuring the public that there is currently no known threat to public safety from the drones.
According to Santiago, we are collaborating to collect and evaluate material as it becomes available, acknowledging the public’s concerns.
Authorities are urging citizens to call the non-emergency number of their local police department to report any possibly suspicious drone activities. The FBI also accepts tips and videos online at www.tips.fbi.gov and over the phone at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
