EVESHAM, New Jersey. The Evesham Police Department said Friday that a 33-year-old male from Mount Laurel had been taken into custody and charged in relation to a robbery at the Bank of America on West Route 70.
The culprit, identified as David Bello, allegedly handed a note demanding money and threatening violence to a bank teller on December 4, 2024, at around 2:43 p.m. Before the suspect left the area on foot, the teller consented and turned over an undisclosed sum of money.
Officers on the scene promptly set up a perimeter and distributed a description of the man and his car. After conducting a traffic stop after spotting a car that fit the description, an attentive officer arrested Bello without any problems.
After a Burlington County Superior Court judge granted a search warrant for the car, evidence was found that connected Bello to the crime. He is being detained at Burlington County Jail until his initial court appearance on charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree theft.
To find out if Bello is linked to other recent bank robberies in the region, the Evesham Police Department is working with the FBI and nearby police departments in Mt. Laurel and Westampton.
