Brush fire in Kings Grant contained by fire crews




EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, N.J. — On Sunday, Evesham Fire-Rescue and the New Jersey Forest Fire Service responded to a brush fire in the Kings Grant neighborhood behind Woodlake Drive.

About one acre of property, surrounded by water on three sides, was impacted by the fire. Smoke could be seen in the vicinity as crews attempted to contain the fire and slow its growth.

As operations proceeded, authorities warned that smoke would continue to be present. There were no reports of injuries or property damage in the area.
