Flushing convenience store sells $50K Powerball-winning ticket




FLUSHING, NY The New York Lottery reported that a $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold in Flushing for the Saturday, Dec. 7 drawing.

The ticket that won the third prize was bought at Stop & Go Convenience, which is situated at 42-39 Main Street. The gamer won $50,000 when the ticket matched four of the five numbers plus the red Power Ball.

The red Power Ball is chosen from a different pool of one through 26. Powerball numbers are drawn from a pool of one through 69. At 10:59 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, there are three weekly drawing sessions.

In the fiscal year 2023–2024, the New York Lottery—the biggest and most lucrative lottery in North America—contributed $3.8 billion to New York State public education.
