WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department is looking into a report of terroristic threats involving a firearm after a 25-year-old man claimed he received such threats early on Saturday morning.
At around 5:01 a.m., a victim reported being threatened outside a shop on South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard, prompting officers to respond to a residence on Miner Street.
The victim claims that a male suspect who has not been identified came up to him, pointed a gun at him, and said, “I’m going to kill you.” The suspect got into a red sedan and drove off, while the victim informed police he fled the scene on foot.
No arrests have been made, and police have not disclosed any other information on the culprit. As investigators search for the culprit, the inquiry is still ongoing.
