Following a friend’s suggestion to use previous winning numbers, Mattison bought her lucky tickets at Parkside Liquors on Sinclair Lane, selecting the numbers 3-1-4-1-3. She wagered $1 on each ticket, and she won two top prizes, totaling $100,000.
The veteran lottery player has a track record of winning; in 1997, he took home a $100,000 jackpot in a lottery second-chance campaign. In the hopes of continuing to play for further wins, she intends to utilize her most recent fortune to pay off her mortgage and assist her sister in buying a car.
The Maryland Lottery will give Parkside Liquors, the merchant that sold the winning tickets, a $1,000 incentive for their contribution to the transaction.
