Tenth District Volunteer Fire Department battles multiple brush fires

On Sunday, crews from the Tenth District Volunteer Fire Department responded to a major brush fire along Marshalls Corner Road in Charles County, Maryland. Over the course of several hours, they deployed various units to contain the fire.

Brush 8, Engine 8-4, Tanker 8, Utility 8, ATV-8, and Chief 8B were among the units that put out the fire, which took a lot of work from the responding staff. Engine 8-2 was moved to Fire Station 11 on Bryans Road and helped with another nearby brush fire while crews were on duty at Marshalls Corner.

The department made sure there was a backup team on hand to handle emergencies in the first due response area in spite of the demands of these situations.

There have been no reports of property damage or injuries related to either fire.
