MINEOLA, N.Y.Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly said that a man from Floral Park has been indicted on several offenses following a search of his residence that turned up ghost guns, firearm components, and gadgets that could turn handguns into fully automatic weapons.
Parmbir Singh, 23, was charged with two instances of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and other offenses involving firearms. He was arraigned before Judge Robert Bogle on Monday. Singh entered a not guilty plea and is currently being held on a $2.5 million partially secured bond, a $1.25 million bond, or $500,000 cash bail. If found guilty, he may spend up to 15 years behind bars.
After Singh was reported for making many internet purchases of firearm parts over a 19-month period, a combined task force comprising the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, and the NYPD launched the investigation. Investigators found that Singh was already on probation and did not have the necessary permissions to lawfully own weapons in Nassau County.
Two finished and loaded ghost guns were discovered in hidden compartments in Singh’s bedroom and attic following the execution of a search warrant on November 20, 2024. A 3D printer, handgun components, a shotgun, high-capacity magazines, an assault weapon lower receiver, and two rapid-fire modification tools for completely automatic pistols were among the other items found.
According to DA Donnelly, the defendant reportedly bought gun parts online with the specific goal of creating and assembling untraceable ghost gun handguns inside his Floral Park residence. We are dedicated to taking these weapons off the streets because they represent a significant threat to our communities.
On the same day, Singh was taken into custody by the NYPD Financial Crimes Task Force, the Nassau County Sheriff’s Department, and HSI. Authorities reported that more than 270 illegal firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and dozens of high-capacity magazines have been found in Nassau County this year alone.
Deputy Bureau Chief Lee Genser of the Narcotics, Firearms, and Gangs Bureau is prosecuting the case.
The discovery of two loaded ghost guns in a Floral Park residence, according to authorities, highlights the growing danger of untraceable firearms.
