Woman injured in Southeast DC shooting on Benning Road




Washington, DC Police are still looking into the shooting death of a woman who was shot on Benning Road in Southeast on Tuesday night.

On December 10, just after 7:30 p.m., a shooting broke out in the 4600 block of Benning Road. Officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound when they got to the site. Her health has not been made public, however she was taken to the hospital for treatment.

While they conducted their investigation, police momentarily blocked traffic on Benning Road between C and B Streets in both directions. Information on a possible suspect has not been made public by authorities.
